LIVE FIRE
COURSES

Our live fire courses provide next-step instruction after completing the CFSC/CRFSC.  After these courses, you will feel confident in the safe handling and shooting of the firearms in the course you complete

​

All courses are roughly 4 hours in duration and have a maximum student/instructor ratio of 3:1.  All courses are held at a range and students will be firing live ammunition under instruction

​

All instructors are specially trained and qualified in firearms instruction and range safety protocols

​

Students are encouraged to bring their own firearms and ammunition to become familiar with them.  Don't have a gun? No problem! We can provide loaner firearms with ammunition for an additional fee.

INTRODUCTION TO FIREARMS: PISTOLS 

​This course covers:

  • Safe handling of shooting pistols at a range

  • Basics of shooting a pistol using proper grip and marksmanship techniques

  • Proper reloading and firearm malfunction procedures

  • Loaner firearms & ammunition available for an additional fee

INTRODUCTION TO FIREARMS: SHOTGUNS

This course covers:

  • Basics of safe handling and shooting shotguns effectively at a range or out in the bush hunting or camping

  • Proper reloading techniques

  • Proper shooting techniques in several different shooting positions

INTRODUCTION TO FIREARMS: RIFLES

This course covers:

  • Basics of safe handling and shooting rifles at a range or in the bush hunting or camping

  • proper reloading techniques and firearm manipulation while shooting in several different shooting positions

  • Only certain calibers are allowed on the range. Please inquire if your firearm is permitted or if you would like to borrow a rifle from us

NON-RESTRICTED AND RESTRICTED FIREARMS

RANGE SESSION

This course offers a sample of different types of Non-Restricted and Restricted firearms to try out. The course fee includes all ammunition for the provided firearms and some light instruction of proper shooting techniques and safety procedures:

  • Lever Action Rifle

  • Bolt Action Rifle

  • Pump Action Shotgun

  • Break Action shotgun

  • Semi-Auto Rifle

  • Double action Revolver

  • Single Action Revolver

  • Single Action Semi-Automatic

  • Double Action Semi-Automatic

  • Striker Fired Semi-Automatic
